Most of what this site holds about you is what you deliberately published on it. This page says exactly what the rest is.
1 · Who is responsible
The controller of the data described here is Lords of the System, operating lordsofthesystem.lol. Write to hello@lordsofthesystem.lol about anything on this page.
2 · What a listing publishes
A listing is advertising, so everything in it is public by design: the display name you choose, your logo, your link, your Instagram, X and other handles, and the one line of text you write. It sits on the board while you hold the seat, and stays in that body’s public history — with the amount paid and the date — after somebody takes the seat off you.
Use a name you are willing to have on a public page. If you would rather it came down later, see section 7.
3 · What we collect when you pay
- Payment details go to Stripe, not to us. Checkout happens on Stripe’s own page. We never see or store your card number, and we do not keep a card on file. Stripe collects what it needs to take the payment — including your email address and billing details — as its own controller, under Stripe’s privacy policy.
- An order record on our side: which body, the listing details above, the amount, the Stripe checkout session and payment identifiers, and the timestamps. This is what proves a payment happened and what a refund is checked against.
4 · What we collect when you only visit
- One first-party cookie, named
sid. It holds a random string, nothing else — no name, no address, no profile. It exists so the “online now” and “today” counters on the board are real counts of sessions rather than an invented number. It is set for a year, is HTTP-only, and is never sent to anybody else. - No third-party analytics and no advertising trackers. There is no Google Analytics, no pixel, no ad network and no cross-site tracking on this site.
- Ordinary server logs kept by our hosting provider — IP address, request and time — used to keep the site up and to deal with abuse, and kept only briefly.
5 · The link you attach
When you attach a website to a listing, our server — not your browser, and not any visitor’s — fetches that page once to read its title, description and preview image, so the board can show real text instead of a bare URL. Only those three things are stored. The fetch is HTTPS-only, capped and timed out.
6 · Who processes data for us
- Stripe — payments and payment records.
- Supabase — the database holding listings and orders, and the storage bucket serving uploaded logos.
- Our hosting provider — running the site and its logs.
Nothing is sold, rented or handed to advertisers. These providers may store data outside the country you live in, under the transfer safeguards in their own agreements.
7 · How long it is kept, and how to have it removed
A listing and its entry in a body’s history are meant to be permanent — the history of who held what is the product. Order records are kept as long as accounting and tax law requires.
You can ask us to take your listing down or to strip your name, logo and links out of the history at any time: email hello@lordsofthesystem.lol from the address you paid with, or from the account in the listing. We keep only the amount and the date, which we need for our accounts. Taking a listing down on request is not a refund — see the refund policy.
8 · Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how it is used, and to receive it in a portable form. Ask by email and we will answer within 30 days. If you are in the UK or the EU you may also complain to your data protection authority. The legal grounds we rely on are performing the contract you entered when you bought a listing, our legitimate interest in counting visitors and preventing abuse, and our legal obligation to keep accounting records.
9 · Children
This is a paid advertising service and is not directed at children. Do not buy a listing if you are under 18.
10 · Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
