TERMS OF SERVICE

These terms cover every purchase made on lordsofthesystem.lol. Buying a listing means agreeing to them.

1 · Who you are buying from

lordsofthesystem.lol — trading as Lords of the System — is operated by Lords of the System. The only contact address for the service is hello@lordsofthesystem.lol.

2 · What is being sold

Lords of the System is a novelty advertising board. It has 29 celestial bodies on it and exactly one listing slot — a “seat” — per body. What you buy is that slot on this website: your display name, an optional logo drawn onto the body itself, a link, your social handles and one line of text, published on the board and in that body’s panel for as long as you hold the seat.

You are not buying a celestial body, land, a naming right, or any legal interest in one. Under the 1967 Outer Space Treaty nobody can hold title to a celestial body, and nothing sold here is a deed, a security, an investment or a share of anything. It is advertising space on a website, sold for entertainment.

WHAT YOU GET

An advertising listing on one of 29 bodies, plus a permanent entry in that body's public history once your reign ends.

OPENING PRICE

$1 USD for a body nobody holds.

TAKEOVER PRICE

$1 more than the current holder paid.

BILLING

One-time payment. No subscription, no recurring charge, no stored card.

DELIVERY

Immediate. The listing is published as soon as the payment is confirmed.

HOW LONG IT LASTS

Until somebody pays the takeover price. There is no minimum duration.

REFUNDS

All sales are final, with the exceptions set out in the refund policy.

3 · Price and payment

A body nobody holds costs $1. A body somebody holds costs $1 more than that holder paid. Every price on the site is in USD and the amount shown to you before you pay is the amount charged — the price is calculated on our server at the moment you start checkout, never in your browser.

One-time payment. No subscription, no recurring charge, no stored card. Payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe’s own hosted checkout page. We never see or store your card details.

If two people buy the same body at nearly the same moment, both payments are charged and both listings are published in order — the second buyer becomes the holder and the first drops into the history at the price they paid. That is the mechanic, not a fault, and it is not grounds for a refund.

4 · How long you hold a seat

Your listing stays up until somebody pays the takeover price for that body. This can happen minutes after you buy or never. We do not guarantee any duration, any traffic, any number of views and any result of any kind from a listing. When you are taken over, your reign moves into that body’s public history — your name, logo, link and the amount you paid stay visible there — and what you paid is not returned. 5 · What you may put on a listing

You are responsible for everything you publish, and you confirm that you own or are licensed to use the name, logo, link and text you submit. A listing must not contain:

• anything unlawful where you are or where we are;
• impersonation of another person, company or brand, or a logo you have no right to;
• sexual content, hate speech, harassment, or content targeting a private individual;
• malware, phishing, deceptive redirects, or a link whose destination differs from what the listing claims;
• misleading financial, medical or legal claims, or the promotion of scams;
• anything a payment processor prohibits, including unlicensed gambling, weapons, drugs and counterfeit goods.

We may remove any listing that breaks these rules, and we may refuse or reverse any order. A listing removed under this section is refunded in full — that is the one place where money comes back. Report a listing to hello@lordsofthesystem.lol and we will look at it.

6 · Availability

The site is provided as it is, without a warranty of uninterrupted availability, and we may change or discontinue it at any time. What you buy is a listing on this board for as long as you hold the seat — not a guarantee of how long the board itself runs.

7 · Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything connected with a listing is limited to the amount you paid for that listing. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost business, or for what any third party does with a link on this board. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including your rights as a consumer.

8 · Changes

We may update these terms; the date at the top of this page is when they last changed. A change never applies retroactively to a listing already bought — the terms in force when you paid are the ones that govern that purchase.

9 · Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which the seller is registered. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in.
